A large wildfire in south-eastern Spain forced the evacuation of hundreds of people from tourist areas as emergency services battled the flames from ground and air.

Over 170 Spanish Army UME soldiers and 300+ emergency personnel evacuated nearly 200 people from Los Garres and surrounding villages in Murcia after a wildfire with 65ft flames burned 270+ hectares, with one person treated for burns and emergency services suspecting arson.
