Residents evacuated from their homes due to ground movement in a former mining village have been told they will not be allowed to return for another eight weeks during an investigation.

Residents of 97 properties across four streets (Nechtan Drive, Langour, Benbuck View, Dunmoss View) in Coalsnaughton, Clackmannanshire, cannot return home for another eight weeks while the Mining Remediation Authority (MRA) investigates ground movement in the former mining village, with Clackmannanshire Council having formally requested financial support from the Scottish government.
