Jamie Varley said 'I'm definitely going to Hell' while holding his adopted son Preston Davey after life support was ceased.
"Mr Varley replied: "I'm so angry at him. He hasn't got anybody up there. I probably won't see you again, I'm definitely going to Hell.""
Preston Davey died at Blackpool Victoria Hospital on July 27, 2023, after life support was ceased at 7.15pm.
"At 7.15pm doctors invited Preston's adopted parents and grandmother into the room to be by his side as life support was ceased."
Jamie Varley is accused of murder, sexual assault of a child under 13, inflicting grievous bodily harm, five counts of child cruelty, and making, taking and distributing indecent images.
