A teenager died after jumping from a hotel balcony while on holiday in Benidorm with his girlfriend, with an inquest determining it was an impulsive act.

Thomas Murphy, an 18-year-old bakery worker from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, died on August 19, 2024, after jumping off the balcony of Hotel Bali at 4 Actor Luis Prendes Street in Benidorm during his first holiday abroad with his girlfriend Annie Lowe, with an inquest at Sheffield Coroners' Court ruling it an impulsive act causing polytraumatic shock.
