UK's NHS is testing artificial intelligence and robotic technology to improve early detection of lung cancer through a new pilot program.

The NHS is trialing AI and robotic catheter technology at Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust to detect lung cancer in 300 patients, with plans to expand to King's College Hospital and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trusts by 2030, aiming to screen 1.4 million more people next year and potentially diagnose 50,000 cancers by 2035.
