A leading meningitis charity is calling for teenagers and young people to receive free NHS vaccinations against meningitis B, as current coverage leaves many unprotected unless they pay privately.

Meningitis Now charity is launching a 'No Plan B for men B' campaign calling for NHS-funded meningitis B vaccinations for teenagers and young people born before 2015, who currently must pay around £220 privately, following two meningitis deaths in Kent including a University of Kent student.
