A woman was given a suspended sentence for stealing thousands of pounds from her father and grandmother over several years to fund her gambling addiction.

Sarah Schofield, a 37-year-old mother from Toxteth, Liverpool, stole £14,194.79 from her father David Schofield and grandmother between 2017 and 2020 by raiding their bank accounts and fraudulently obtaining loans in her father's name to fund her gambling addiction, but received a suspended two-year prison sentence at Liverpool Crown Court on March 16, 2026, due to her children's needs.
