Two skiers were rescued from a frozen bay after using ice to spell SOS when the ice broke under their tent during the night.

Two German skiers camping on the frozen Bothnian Bay between Oulu, Finland and Luleå, Sweden used chunks of sea ice to spell out SOS after the ice cracked around 6:30am, losing most of their gear to the sub-Arctic water before being rescued by the West Finland Coast Guard and airplanes from both Sweden and Finland around 11:45am last Tuesday.
