An inquest has heard that a 32-year-old mother-of-four died from burns and related complications after a paint canister exploded in a garden bonfire in Wales.

Katie Louise Marshall, 32, died on September 24 from bacterial pneumonia, inhalation injury and flash burns after a paint canister in a bin bag exploded on a garden bonfire in Newport, Gwent on June 26, an inquest at Gwent Coroner's Court heard, with senior coroner Caroline Saunders adjourning proceedings to June 9, 2027.
